A message in a bottle

What a darling surprise we all got in the mail. It was a baby bottle filled will baby confetti and baby pacifier candies and a scroll of paper. Here is what it said:

A message in a bottle has come your way,

So hear what Brett and Bree have to say!

Four weeks down, with 8 months to go,

Soon our familee will be sure to grow.

A boy or girl, we simply cannot tell

Hopefully your wonrg, and it's not 'a baby from hell!'

This new experience we're about to go through,

We know we'll be changing lots of diapers full of poo!

We're excited for another cousin to be born,

Whom we know you will all love and adore.

It is sure to change, but 'save the date'

Our baby will be born October 28th!

Congrats to Bree and Brett - we are happy and excited for you!

Valentine fun

No sugar cookies this year! I repent, Kenny, I'll do better next year (maybe). I got a new recipe to try, it may take me a whole year before I get around to it. Brett and Bree got the good cookies from Smart Cookie in Provo. It's my new favorite place to drop in.
Lana's secret admirer is still 'admirering'. This year she recieved the big stuffed bear (like the one that she said I throw out years ago) and giant chocolate covered strawberries. They were yummy! She said she didn't think anything would come this year since she is engaged.
The gorgeous red roses were what Tyson brought to Lana at 8:00 this morning (I was just glad that I was up! She, of course, was not.) They make the whole kitchen smell wonderful.

Check out this darling cookie bouquet which Dad had delivered for me! They actually are very good cookies and not hard like all those others. A lady in the choir does this on the side.
And guess what, I will share with you Kenny!
Thanks for all the yummy treats. It's been a fun day.

Familee update

Good news from Megan's doctor's appointment - the baby is bigger than he should be! They think he is about 5 lbs. HOORAY! Way to go Megan. Happy resting!!

Lana was glad she went to the Phantom audition. She made it through a one cut and now she know what to expect for another time.

Thank you Brett and Bree for picking up 'wedding things' at Tai Pan today. Brett got a new tennis ball machine. It takes the place of golfing since there isn't much golfing going on in UT these days.

All the boys will need nice church black pants and black shoes for the wedding. We will take care of the shirts and ties.

Loves and kisses to all of you...mom

Megan at 6 months pregnant

Megan is a beautiful pregnant lady! She has been on bed rest for the past two weeks as her contractions started way too early. She went to the hospital to make sure everything was fine with the baby (who they will probably name Bennett) since she had not been feeling movement. When they hooked her up to the monitor, she thought he started to move but the nurse told her that those were contractions she was having! She did not feel them! The baby is fine and she is taking good care to stay down so they don't start again. She has been doing alot of reading and was even able to sew the crib quilt top with the help of her sister.

Bree and Brett at President Hinckley's viewing

I am so glad that Brett and Bree took the oppurtunity to go to Salt Lake City in the freezing cold to view the body of President Hinckley. That may be a 'once-in-a-lifetime' event for them. You can not see much for the picture but Brett says to look close by the podium and you will see the casket. We all will surely miss President Hinckley.
