Bring out the decorations

Actually, I took these pictures so I would be able to remember
how to decorate the tree next year!

I love these big ornaments fro Hobby Lobby.
Megan made a new table runner (not pictured) to go on this table for next year.
The colors are perfect and the pattern is so fun.

80 Degrees for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving in Cancun, 80 degree weather, sure beat the cold in Vegas and Utah!
The kids spent the holiday with the in-laws.
Chad scheduled our trip trough sky auction, which is a site for traveling at cheaper rates. However.... they are not the most convenient flights. Actually, they are horrible times (which makes me grumpy!) Red eye, long layovers and the longest way around! But once there, all is well.

It was a very relaxing week which is just what Chad needed.

Walking outside our hotel room to the beach, I was greeted with this creature! Oh my. We both just froze and had a 'stared down' until one of the employees came and said he was just sunning himself. She assured me he was afraid of me. (But she really didn't know me - I was afraid of him!!!)

The resort was all inclusive and beautiful. We ate at a different restaurant every night.
Well, we simply ate all day!

Chad .... doing his Bishopric work!

I finally got enough courage to knit in public! We were able to go to the admiral's club during our lay-over coming home. I just took a few big breath's, looked around and finally pulled out my knitting. No one gasped, or pointed and laughed. No one even cared but me!
Huge hurdle for me.
But certainly doesn't mean I will do it again.

It was a delightful holiday. I am thankful!

Caiden at 6 months

What a delight it was to have Brett, Bree, Llayton and Caiden down for the week. Brett was training with Chad's company where he will be working. Bree enjoyed crafting a bit with Nicole.

Llayton is talking so much now. It makes me laugh when he starts to throw a fit. He will run off, lay down on the ground and start to cry. After a few seconds, they ask if he is finished, he stops crying, gets up, and says, 'Yea' in a cheerful voice, as if he never started his fit to begin with. He's just a love and has a sweet countenance.

Caiden is such a content baby. He does like to watch the tv or computer!

And, he is getting so big and well, chunky!
See....

He is 16 lbs and barely fits into wooden bowl!
Of course, that bowl is for newborns and he is 6 months.

What a darling family they are!

Turning 7

Cohen had a familee birthday party at Chucky Cheese.
Their family friends, the Burt's, also came, since they are moving away shortly.
It was a fun place to have a party. The kids got tokens and were able to play games and go on a few rides.

This cracks me up. Both Llayton and Amara looked stressed!
But they did have a good time!

But here is how Amara likes to play skeet ball....

Happy DOG day!

For Grandma Lee's birthday, I knew she would love to have a photo shoot with Missy! She does love Missy. This was the first time I ever photographed a dog. She did really good. However, Barbara wanted me to get her to smile!
I told her I did not know how to tell if she was smiling or not!

Missing the kids!

The other day a commercial came on the tv where a young boy reminded us of Bennett. He was about 8 years old and we just thought it looked like what Bennett would look like at that age. It made us miss the Utah kids. So we took a few days and went to see them.

We were able to be there for Bennett's music class. He was darling. And he does love music. They played the drums, the sticks and the bells. They learn about the black keys and white keys on the piano. They learn rhythms.
He is just getting to be a little boy in every way.
Whenever he can, he likes to play Super-Why on our iphones.

We went Christmas shopping. The University mall in Provo is filled with mommy's, kids and babies in strollers! We love the store Crazy 8's for kids clothes. Thank goodness for a tv, they are watching to help keep the kids entertained. Love that little bench too.

Have I mentioned before that Bennett loves books? Here in the Disney store, he just laid right down to read the Toy Story book. Isn't it just funny how comfortable kids are with things. No adult could get away with that! (Nor would we want to, knowing how dirty that floor really is!)
