Familee Easter

April 9, 2012

Last Easter we had an adult egg hunt at night. My intentions were to have the eggs glow in the dark. I found some glow in the dark paint, painted the eggs with it but, to my dissappointment, they did nog glow in the dark. We still had fun anyways.

So this year, thanks to interest (I loves you!), I found a pin for glow in the dark eggs.
With little glow sticks placed inside the eggs, they glow! Very cute.
However, there were no room in the eggs, after they were filled, for the glow stick.
(Note to self...next year buy bigger eggs.)
I just taped the glow stick to the outside of the egg. Not as cute, but it worked.
This hunt was for the kids this year. No adult hunt. Maybe next year.

We were happy that Brett and Bree's family were here for the Easter weekend.

Since Trent and Sesily left two days later (moved to UT. - I don't like them anymore!), it was fun to be together.

We celebrated a day later on Monday. I remember how Chad's mother use to have all the holidays a day before or even a weekend before so that we would not have to make a choice of which family to celebrate with, or try to do both families in one day.
We had a bon fire and roasted hotdogs at the dry lake.
Trent and Brett rode their bikes out there.
Then we waited until dark for the egg hunt.

Baby number 3

April 2012

Bree always looks great when she is pregnant.
From the back, you would not even know.
Since they were here for Easter, we went on a photo shoot.
We found an alley in old Henderson which was a fun location.

Baby boy, who Llayton wants to call Bentley
(which doesn't blend with the last name of Lee very good)
is due the end of May.

These next pictures are my favorites!

In the month of March

2012

Just a little of this and that during the month of March....

Amara's birthday, Bennett's birthday, Trent's familee packing up for their move to Utah

Mary Elynore Porter Lay

February 2012

My mother is involved in the Daughter of Utah Pioneers Organization.
They had a project to create of video of one of their ancestors.
Mary Elynore Porter Lay, my mother's grandmother, was fiercely afraid of Indians.

Stick horse were crafted, costumes were gathered and with the story outlined,
the grandkids recreated a story about Mary Elynore Porter Lay and the day Indians came to her house.

They were shouting 'Pana, Pana', which means bread.
Mary thought the Indians wanted her pans. And that is what she gave them!

With my mothers voice as narration, Kenny and Megan put together
 pictures into a video slideshow.

Jexton - 9 months

April 2012

Jexton has this most serious face that I just love.

And here is his happy face!

He is a good, content little guy.
I love you, little Jexie.

A day of Blessings

March 24, 2012

Blessing 1 - Seeing your son give a name and blessing to his own children.
Kenny blessed Naomi in the Legacy Ward.

Blessing 2 - Megan's whole family were in town for the occasion.

Blessing 3 - Lana was here too. I love when she is home.

Blessing 4 - So many people acknowledged our presence in the
ward today, which made us feel so loved.
We miss Legacy Ward but we love the singles ward.

Blessing 5 - So many people commented to me how beautiful
all our grandchildren are. And I agree!
Their parents keep them clean and dressed so cute.

Blessing 5 - Just being together
(We missed Brett & his familee & Tyson.)

Naomi's dress was made by Carli (found on Etsy.)

Preschool

I have been trying to take my camera with me
more often so that I can document
LIFE.

This pictures was taken right after we got out of the car
as Bennett is walking up to preschool
at Ms. Amy's.

I love his hair.
I love his rain boots that he always wears.
I love when he sings in the car with me.
I love that he goes to preschool with my nieces daughter, Kennedy.
I love that he dances at preschool, too.
I love that Naomi looks just like him.
(Because he is a pretty boy!)

Who wouldn't love this preschool?
What fun!
