Just couldn't resist

The kids had just come over for a few hours while Sesily went for a run. I looked out the den window and saw the lighting was just perfect. Ella and Cohen we both up for a photo shoot. Cohen even asks now for his picture to ba taken. He tells me where he wants to sit!

I loved that Ella had her blankie in tow. She simply 'jabbers' no stop. We have no idea what she is saying but she must enjoy it. She know was the doggies says and the kittie, a cow and a frog! She also know how to say 'NO'!

And isn't this just the cutest of them.

Now, here are a few favorites of Bennett and Megan...

Does it look like they are laughing together - like she just told him a joke!

Aren't they just beautiful! We love these babies, kids and their spouses!
Here was our latest fun...more bridal shoots with Lana. This time we went to the dry lake and the Old Clark County Muesum where they have olden day cars, houses, trains, barns. It was the greatest. I believe we took over 3000 images. Bad thing is now I have to hours of editing!!!
Here are just two images - can't show the dress as Tyson hasn't seen it. But check out the 50's hat RaeLene made. It was awesome for the muesum. She is so talented!

Welcome Home Bennett!

Wednesday, April 2nd, Bennett finally came home! No one could be happier than Kenny and Megan. What darling, new parents they are! Neither can get enough holding time but they are willing to share when the rest of us show up and want to 'hold-on-demand'. We believe in spoiling them with LOVE! We can't seem to give his little face enough kisses.

Interestingly, Bennet came home on his original due date.

Yesterday, Megan went to her OBGYN doctor. He told her some quite frightening infromation about her pregnancy and Bennett. He said that Bennett is a miracle. At any time we could have lost him so quickly. They took a bioposy of her placenta and found 3 serious problems. She could have easily hemorrhaged any time during the pregnancy or labor, cutting off oxgyen to Bennett causing him to hemorrhage as well. Without going into all the details and medical terms that I don't understand, we are all just counting our blessings he is here and healthy. And, good news, this was just a fluke thing in her pregnancy that she will not have to worry about it happening again.

We all feel that the Lord's hand has been in this whole ordeal and continue to give thanks for this new little baby which will bless our lives.

March 27, 2008

Yesterday was good and bad for the kids. The surgeon told the kids that Bennet could come home by Friday. But the neonatologist came in later that afternoon and said absolutly not! It's a bit of a rollercoaster ride, a bit frustrating. They are just looking forward to the day when he can come home and be able to hold him without any wires and tubes. It will come. Each day is a day closer.

The formula they are giving him right now bypasses the lymphatic system (where the cyst was). He wants Bennett on that for several more days. He did take more of his bottle (2 maybe 3 oz) though yesterday and seems to finally get the hang of sucking. The Whites will all be leaving on Saturday. Everyone was hoping for Bennett to come home before they had to go back to Oregon.

I am a little hesitant to post this picture with tubes in his nose but....just don't look if it bothers you. Wanted you to see him with his eyes open.

March 25, 2008

Baby Bennett is just working so hard to drink his whole bottle! He is now in the special care unit at Summerlin Hopsital, out of the NICU. The doctors want him to take the full bottle at each feeding. He gets about half way through and is finished. They have to give the rest to him through the tube in his nose. I think his little belly just gets too full; some of it comes back up. The doctors don't like that. Kenny and Megan have holding up well. We all spend our money in gas going back and forth to the hospital! They are looking forward to the day he gets to come home. He is a content, darling little guy. Kenny takes books to the hospital and reads to him from Curious George and Thomas the Train!

In the mean time, we are in full swing with wedding plans. Raelene has been working so diligently on Lana's dress. (She might want to take a match to it!) It is turning out beautiful. We went to Provo this last weekend and spent the day taking pictures in the snow. We could not have done it without Bree! Lana's lime green, spiky heel, open toe shoes just weren't the best for walking in snow, even with lovely white socks to keep her feet warm! Bree graciously played 'olden day shoe salesman' and slipped her tennis shoes onto Lana's feet, while she wore the green spiked shoes in the snow. It was comical watching them in the whole event while being so careful not to get the dress dirty.

Bennett Michael Lee

He's here! And he is beautiful! Megan is amazing! She did not have any drugs during the deliver - all natural! She checked into the hospital in the morning and he was born around 5:15. She could have had him earlier but they were waiting for the doctor to arrive.

As of now, they will be doing testing soon to determine what the mass is that is behind the left kidney. He looks physically well and is in stable condition. We won't really know until results come back what needs to be done.

He weighted 5 lbs 15 oz & 18" in length. Kenny and Megan are doing well!

Valentine fun

No sugar cookies this year! I repent, Kenny, I'll do better next year (maybe). I got a new recipe to try, it may take me a whole year before I get around to it. Brett and Bree got the good cookies from Smart Cookie in Provo. It's my new favorite place to drop in.
Lana's secret admirer is still 'admirering'. This year she recieved the big stuffed bear (like the one that she said I throw out years ago) and giant chocolate covered strawberries. They were yummy! She said she didn't think anything would come this year since she is engaged.
The gorgeous red roses were what Tyson brought to Lana at 8:00 this morning (I was just glad that I was up! She, of course, was not.) They make the whole kitchen smell wonderful.

Check out this darling cookie bouquet which Dad had delivered for me! They actually are very good cookies and not hard like all those others. A lady in the choir does this on the side.
And guess what, I will share with you Kenny!
Thanks for all the yummy treats. It's been a fun day.
