Law School

Only BYU…Megan was so sick the first day of law school class. Kenny left class to get Bennett. After explaining to the professor his situation, they told him the school has a room for families for situations just like this. If you need to bring your kids to school, the lecture is recorded and you can watch in the ‘family room’ with your kids!

Only BYU…theme for law school spouses is ‘Every spouse a law partner.’

Only BYU…tells the students that your family comes first, not school.

I am a bit partial to BYU. And really, I don’t know if it is ‘only BYU’ who has these things available for their law students. We are just grateful Kenny is where he wants to be. Besides, I do love BYU – go cougars!

Kenny had three days of orientation before class started on August 25. They had a bar-b-que for the families, a luncheon for the wives, mentors assigned to the students, dessert at the professors homes & several different type of groups for the wives to get involved in. They attended an alumni dinner at Little America hotel where the President of BYUI spoke. Kenny has been called on two different times in class to stand up and report on reading assignments in the first three days of school.

Poor Bennett – he was being fussy so Kenny put him in his stroller to go for a walk. Trying to get his assignments finished, he took his book and was reading while he was strolling Bennett. The book dropped off the stroller and right on Bennett’s head!

Look how cubby her is getting!

Bennett is scheduled for surgery on Sept 16. You can see where the cyst is, just underneath the eyebrow.

They have redecorated the condo. It is beautiful. So neat and clean and such a nice feeling inside.

I love giving the babies their baths.
Tech Mobile

Brett is hoping to open his store in just a few weeks. He has been so excited at every detail being complete with the construction. I don’t have any pictures but he may on his blog. Bree has 8 more weeks of pregnancy. She is darling pregnant!

Ella turned 2
Fancy Nancy is her favorite. So she had a Fancy Nancy party. And Fancy Nancy acts like a princess. Sesily made Ella a princess cake. She loves dress up clothes and shoes. We have taught her how to give princess kisses, just like Lana use to do. We all treat her like she is a princess, just like every girl should be treated.

News for Sesily
She is pregnant! Trent says they are done, she says they're not. She will be due in April. That means that the last three will all be 6 months apart. If she has a boy, they could be on missions at the same time.

...Chad & Cohen's train rides
...highlighting an ancestor - Mary Stewart Lee
...familee pictures (of course!)

A great little traveler - Bennett

Happy to be get out of the car:

Beach fun:

She has had all the fun she wants. Besides, she is almost 2!

Foil dinners on the beach

Favorite breakfast - scones

As usual, Chad and Trent are working
Cohen took this picture!

We played the money game according to our scores from bowling.
Trent was high scorer and Lana had the most gutter balls.

It was a nice relaxing week before the busyness begins...Kenny's starting law school, Brett's store opening, Tyson starting school and baseball, and all of lifes events. We were happy that Trent did not have to leave and go home for his school final. He was able to take it there. We were happy that Tyson was able to be there before he left for his long awaited dear hunt. Life is good at the beach!

Playing in the studio

Sesily was trying to pick out pictures of the kids to hang on her wall. It is not an easy task since we have thousands of them! We are enlarging two images (one of each of them) to 20x20, tight shot of just their cute faces. We couldn't find just the perfect picture of Ella to go in the frames that we ordered so we cranked up the lights in the studio and played. She was dressed perfectly and in a darling mood. Here are just a few of her adorable face:

After several minutes, she decided she was done with her bow! Nothing we did would entice her to put it back on...

I just love the face she is making in this image:Then Cohen decided he wanted to come play with us. He had been at the railroad tracks with papa so he is sweating and got crazy hair. We don't care, though.

We kiss and love on all the the babies! Cohen told me that Ella is his best friend. Cute! Just a few weeks ago, Papa and I were his best friends, too.

Fun from Lacey's shower

Good food, family and friends create fun. We had a baby shower for my niece Lacey Lyman whose baby is due in a month. I can't help but taking pictures. So here are just a few.

Here are the 'Kennedy' cousins and in-laws:

Lana and Grandma Kennedy:

The newest addition to the family...Kennedy Nicole Flynn born to Patrick and Nicole just two weeks ago:

The next two babies coming...Lacey in September, Bree the end of October.

We love those babies!

Preview of Labor

I have heard that kidney stones are worse than labor pains. Brett and Bree will soon compare notes. Poor Brett could probably tell you the intense pain he felt this past week. He spent several hours in quick care (should have gone to the emergency room instead) not knowing what was going on - just that he was in a lot of pain! It got worse while he was there and they really didn't know what to think. They thought it was a combinations of a urinary tract infection and food poisoning. He just knew the pain was intense. He came home and slept for a few hours and then come downstairs dressed in his church clothes (tie included) and asked Chad for a blessing. We called Chad's friend who is a doctor and he said it was a kidney stone. He felt better after the blessing and slept through the night. But several days later, in the middle of the night, the pain returned. He did pass the kidney stone and felt immediate relief.

I wanted to see what it looked like and asked him why he didn't get it (sounds yucky). He tried but was unsuccessful. I could have taken a picture and posted it here! Hopefully there are no more kidney stone. Now he will know what Bree is going through when she delievers her baby.

Dinner at Chili's

I don't have the greatest point and shot camera that I carry with me. And I don't edit pictures that go on the blog. I spend too much time doing that for clients, that is the last thing I want to do. But I enjoy blogging, even if you would never think I have a photography business!

While we were having dinner, I thought Cohen how to use my camera. He did a pretty good job of Lana and Ella at Chili's.

Papa always find something fun to do with the kids

After dinner...

Gorgeous sunset in Texas. Chad and I spent several days in Texas for a photography convention. I love anything to do with photography and like to learn everything I can.

While I attended class, he worked in the hotel room. It's nice (most of the time) that he can take work with him. It makes it a nice way to travel.
