Too cute to spook

Little spooks...aren't they cute!
I just love when Amara laughs.

And this is 'Fancy Nancy'!
Bonjour & Merci

And this is Fancy Nancy's, I think, Mom.
She's so pretty!

Cohen love the fish pond at trunk or treat.

At the singles ward Halloween party, I told Chad he HAD to dress up now that he is Bishop (sometimes you just have to do things you don't want to do!)
He was a pretty good sport about it.

Nashville

...Nashville, Tennessee...
another beautiful location where the SUV choir performed in October.
Chad and I were able to go out a day early and do a bit of sightseeing.
I loved touring the Belle Meade Plantation, eating luncheon at their quaint little cafe above their country store.

This plantation was a horse breeding farm. Fun to hear the history of the people who lived there and all about their lives.

It was a nice weekend, beautiful weather. The choir had 3 performances and over 400 referrals. It was a nice get away right after Chad was put in as Bishop. This actually made him miss his very first Sunday as Bishop.

These pictures were taken with my little point and shoot camera. It does a pretty good job sometimes! (However, the one Chad took of me is very soft in the focus but that just means you can see my wrinkles!)

They now call him "Bishop Lee"

The first time I heard "Bishop Lee" while speaking to Chad, I looked around for his dad or his brother! It does seem strange. And the first time he introduced himself as 'Bishop Lee', he hesitated saying those words.

After serving as 2nd counselor in the Royal Mesa singles ward for 10 months, he is now called to be the Bishop of that ward. We have grown to love the kids there and love being a part of that ward. It has been a pleasant surprise to us as we have not experienced working along side the these wonderful kids. I believe it was a tender mercy from the Lord to have been there prior to being called as Bishop, not knowing any of them. It prepared us in so many ways.

I am especially grateful to President Kevin Romney for the time he spent giving us council when he called Chad to this position. I also am so grateful that this comes at this time in our lives. I am in awe of how women with younger families handle their husband being gone so much of the time.

I asked Chad if he felt any different after being set apart and surprisingly he said he felt less stress than just the day prior. He felt a calm feeling whereas the day before he was just so nervous and uptight. I love the power of the priesthood!

We had a wonderful Sabbath as our whole family was there to support Chad as well as both sets of parents. Date: 10-10-10 will be a day to remember for us.

Get more gray hair, he plucks I color, Get more wrinkles and get fatter!

Heres what we have yet to do
Get more grandbabies
Sell the business for millions of dollars
Go to more graduations
Watch more sporting events and dancing recitals
Go on a mission or two
Be translated in a twinkling of an eye
And live happily ever after, in the celestial kingdom with ALL of our familee!

There is one more we need to add to our list
Sunday October 10th at 1p.m. it will take place
If dad had it his way he would never tell anyone and let you just find out from someone else about it

Hoarding?

I am not sure just what you would consider or call this habit of Trent's. There is about, oh, maybe a foot of space between the dresser and the wall in Trent and Sesily's room in their house. It is full of his empty crew hair product containers! I bet there are 30 or more of the containers - only crew, only blue lids. Man is he loyal to the product or what!
Do you think this is hoarding? I don't know about this strange behavior, Trent. I may be just a bit worried! I don't know how long he has been saving these or what he plans to do with them but he just likes them being there!

General Conference weekend

It's 'spend-over' time with Mamma and Papa. Cohen and Ella each got some 'alone time' with us. They are content to just be at home with us and play alone. Cohen, as always loves to build and play with his trains.

We went out to the Boulder City Art fair. When we got there Cohen said he had money. He proceeded to pull out of his shorts pocket this....

....a whole wade of play money from one of the games in our cupboard.
Oh, how they make me laugh!

Ella likes to cook with me. We made waffles for breakfast. I hope she loves to cook like her mommy. Smiths had these darling suckers. I knew Ella would pick purple - that is her favorite color! During conference she listened to stories on my phone.

They each have their nightly routine of brushing teeth, saying prayers and reading scriptures. We found Ella a set of scriptures that she could sleep with. But she said that she did not need them since she didn't have any bad dreams while she slept.

Trent sings to her, her most favorite song - 2nd verse of How Firm a Foundation.
"Fear not I am with thee, oh be not dismayed.
For I am thy God and will still give thee aide,
I'll strengthen thee, help thee and cause thee to stand.
Upheld by my righteous omnipotent hand."

I hate hurts!

Oh gosh, don't we hate when our babies get hurts! Llayton was playing and fell on the cement, I think. His lip took the worst of it. I assumed he cried for a while, his parents comforted him and then after a while, they probably told him to stop crying and 'swallow it'. He does!

And poor Amara, she feel on the cement too! Her hurt was much worse than what it is here.

Within just a few minutes, look at the different faces she has. It just cracks me up when she looks at you with that 'grumpy ' look. She pulls those eyebrows down and looks straight at you - you just can't help but to laugh!
