After serving as 2nd counselor in the Royal Mesa singles ward for 10 months, he is now called to be the Bishop of that ward. We have grown to love the kids there and love being a part of that ward. It has been a pleasant surprise to us as we have not experienced working along side the these wonderful kids. I believe it was a tender mercy from the Lord to have been there prior to being called as Bishop, not knowing any of them. It prepared us in so many ways.
I am especially grateful to President Kevin Romney for the time he spent giving us council when he called Chad to this position. I also am so grateful that this comes at this time in our lives. I am in awe of how women with younger families handle their husband being gone so much of the time.
I asked Chad if he felt any different after being set apart and surprisingly he said he felt less stress than just the day prior. He felt a calm feeling whereas the day before he was just so nervous and uptight. I love the power of the priesthood!
We had a wonderful Sabbath as our whole family was there to support Chad as well as both sets of parents. Date: 10-10-10 will be a day to remember for us.

There was a boy and there a girl
They met at BYU, he was crazy about her so she married him
Thought he might make a pretty good husband.
They move to Vegas, got married
Started a janitorial company
Bought a house or two or three
Settled in spring valley
Had four of the most beautiful, talented, gifted, righteous children
Watched them play sports and dance
Took them to school
Worked in cub scouts with them
Went on vacations alone and as a familee
Baptized them all
Bought a boat
Went to the lake often
Went to Lake powell
Had birthday celebrations, fhe, familee dinners, parties
Served in the bishopric
Served as RS president
Started more business
Bought some land, built a house
Moved to green valley
Was scout master, ym president, ward mission leader, more bishoprics
Worked on merit badges, personal progress
Watched all three boys receive their eagle scout
Rented tuxes, Paid for high school proms
Fixed prom dresses so they were modest
Went to tennis matches, high school assemblies, basketball games, football games, graduations
With brett graduating number 1 in his class
Designed and purchased the boat of all boats – Chad’s baby
Cried over disappointments
Cheered over successes
Watched each son enter the MTC and faithfully serve a full mission
Joyfully went with each child to see them sealed to their ‘love’ (as you call each other)
Became grandparents, watching them come into this world
Went back to school, started taking pictures
Lost all our money
Sold everything we had except the house
Started corporate credit concepts
Went to college graduations
Got more grandbabies
Had more familee dinners, vacations, get togethers
Served in more callings, went to the temple
Bought a dune buggy
Became empty nesters,
Spend 90% of their day on the computer
Have computer problems
Take pictures
Buy new electronics
Get more gray hair, he plucks I color, Get more wrinkles and get fatter!
Heres what we have yet to do
Get more grandbabies
Sell the business for millions of dollars
Go to more graduations
Watch more sporting events and dancing recitals
Go on a mission or two
Be translated in a twinkling of an eye
And live happily ever after, in the celestial kingdom with ALL of our familee!
There is one more we need to add to our list
