Happy Halloween

Fun at the Pumpkin Patch with Cohen & Ella. Check out Megan's blog for pictures of Bennett.

Can you tell them apart

I still am amazed that Llayton has such dark hair and so much of it. Bennett's hair was not a surprise to me since Kenny and Megan are so dark. Can you tell which baby is Bennett and which one is Llayton?Bennett is the first baby and Llayton is the second.
And here is a close up of each cute, little face the day after they were born.
Bennett and then Llayton.

Four Generations of Lee's

Twenty eight years ago this photo was taken of Trent, Chad, Eldon (Chad's father)and Lorraine Lee (Eldon's father).

Years have passed, a generation has grown up. Lorraine has passed away. The four generations now become Cohen, Trent, Chad and Eldon. Just thought this was fun to see.

Just for fun

Look who gets to come out and play at my house! Llayton.
This is what we do when his mom and dad are asleep!

Llayton Matthew Lee

After a fairly calm labor (it's seemed to me) with a nice epidural, but a very intense delivery, Llayton came into this world. Bree delivered him at Valley hospital with Dr. Groom and Heather (Humphrey) Camp as her nurse. Bree's mother and sister, Terri & Alysse were here for the delivery. She labored, while we had lunch, talked, and laughed. Brett would breath with her through the contractions and video each step of the way. And then play games on his phone.

But when she would start to push, Llayton's heart rate dropped. But they continued to proceed with Dr. Groom there. Without going into every detail, it became clear that they may have to do a c-section. They were actually prepping the o.r. for that. Dr. Groom used a suction cup attached to his head to help bring him through the birth canal. With one final attempt, giving it everything she had, with nurses pushing down on her belly, Llayton finally came out. And, with a whole head of BLACK hair! Boy, we were surprised at that.

He weighed 7 lbs 8 oz. was was 21" long.

I am so grateful to be able to witness the miracle of birth. Although it is so hard to watch someone you love go through a difficult time, physical or emotional! I feel so fortunate to be a part of it to document the event with my camera. And I am so glad to live in this day and age where a difficult delivery doesn't mean loss of lives. I love that modern medicine and advancements have made it much easy to have babies now than even when I had my babies

Another baby to rock, snuggle, hold, kiss and love! We feel so blessed!

Trent's first Triathlon

He announced he was training for a triathlon! I was taken back. Trent has always been athletic but never felt like he had much stamina. A triathlon takes stamina! I credit Sesily who has changed his eating habits, feeds him well and loves that kind of thing herself. Trent has some friends he has meet in the church and together they have been training for this event.

First they swam for 1/2 mile in Lake Mead. They started at 7am in the cold water. Then they biked 13 miles uphill into Boulder City. We were able to be at the transition point where they put up their bikes and started the final leg of the race - running for 3.5 miles.

He keep telling us not to expect much. Geez, I was just worried he'd have a heart attack. I didn't care about him finishing. But finish, he did! Check out his clothing attire. No way was he going to wear the spandex shorts! Some guys wore speedo's. No, Trent wore his knee length gym shorts.

The swimming part was not his favorite but I think he enjoyed the event. He didn't feel weak or sick, just craved sugar when he was finished.

What an accomplishment! I always admire anyone who LIKES to do that sort of thing. Not me, I hate for my heart to beat faster than it's normal pace. Not an athletic bone in my body!

Way to go, Trent!!!!

This is it!

Finished with maternity pictures with one week to go! At least we didn't put her into labor like Megan! What a wonderful spot we found in Red Rock. Oh, the thrill and excitement that stirs within me when there is a beautiful subject, a beautiful background and a gorgeous image is created.

Lana cut Bree's hair this past week. So darling!

As I was editing the hundreds of images, I came across some of these funny faces of Brett. I didn't even know he was making them until I saw them in the final image! Just thought you might get a kick out of them.

With permission from Bree....some favorites!

I will post the entire session on my website later.

Thanks Brett and Bree for a fun afternoon!

Guess who?

Guess who?
Bree Bree grab the pole and said, "Hey, Hide." We both started laughing! I couldn't resist taking the shot. We spent some time at Town Square - my favorite place. Lana cut her hair into a darling A line. She looks cute as a button. And if you see her from the back, you would have no idea she is pregnant. It is fun to hear the comments from other people. Everyone likes a pregnant woman!
