Wakeboarding

Yesterday, Brett took the girls and kids out to the lake (Chad and Trent stayed home and worked - someone has to work while the rest of us play!)

Look at how good Sesily can wakeboard! I have never seen her wakeboard before. It was so fun to watch. Should I have been surprised. No. Everything she does, she does well.

Then it was Brett's turn. He is an amazing wakeboarder. He taught Sesily how to drive the boat for him. Next time we go I am going to take my good camera gear to get some really good quality images of him.

And you should see him do his flips!

They make it look so easy! So, why not try, right? What was I thinking? I am not athletic in the least. But Brett gave me some instructions before I got in the water. And luckily for me, after several attempts, I made it up! Check out my form! I didn't stay up very long, just long enough to say I have wakeboarded in my life. Today, I am paying the price of sore muscles. But it was a delightful day.

Ella sat on laps the whole time the boat was moving. She glues herself to your chest and can't even move her head with the life jacket on.

Fun day at the lake!

This and That

Brett always does things creative! While painting Lana's room, check out the message he painted for Bree! It reminded me of a time when he was younger and his job was to mow the lawn. He mowed a giant letter 'B' in the grass. He wanted all to know that he was the one mowing the lawn, not Kenny, not Trent! I love his fun ways. (And very happy he is painting the room so I don't have to.)

While Brett was painting, Bree was sewing for the baby.

And check out the shoes Sesily made for Ella. Ella shows them to everyone - she does love 'bling'!

Patrick and Nicole came for Sunday dinner. They are so delightful to be with. Their baby is due in two weeks. (Bree is due in October).

Lana and Tyson's wedding

It has taken 6 weeks but I am finally finished editing Lana and Tyson's wedding. Huge thanks to Candace Simpson, Matt & Krystaly Koch for photographing the event. It was a wonderful event and people were so kind to celebrate with us. The kids are doing well and love married life. They have decorated their apartment so darling. It is right off of 215 & Gibson road.

Here are a few pictures from their wedding day. The rest of the pictures (nearly 10,000!) can be viewed on line through my website at http://www.momentslikethisphoto.com/

Let's all move!

We have sorted, lifted, taped, carried, sifted, packed, packed some more, thrown out, climbed stairs and truck ramps, stacked, sweat, broken a few items, made trips to DI, traveled 6 hours in a U-Haul truck (not me), unpacked and fallen into bed - EXHAUSTED! Just to start over again the next day!

Isn't it funny that all the kids moved at the same time. Lana and Tyson moved into their new apartment June 30

Check out this heavy bag that it took two guys to carry!

Lana's SHOES!

Timberlakes apartments #2227
They have decorated their apartment so cute and are happy to have a place of their own.

Brett and Bree packed up the condo when we went up for the Utah open house. They are staying here with us until Brett's new cell phone store opens, then they will look for a house.

Bree has been reorganizing their 'stuff' to consolidate it.

Kenny and Megan's move had a few bumps in the road. The U-Haul they got wasn't big enough for all their stuff so they rented an additional trailer and still left a few things behind. Thank goodness for family and good ward members to help load their truck. Megan had everything so organized. Chad drove the u-Haul to Utah so they could be with Bennett in their car. Brett and Bree went with them to help.

Before they could move their things in, Brett had some of their stuff to move out. They all literally worked the entire day, hauling boxes out, other stuff in and then boxes to storage. They nearly lost the piano out of the truck as they tried to back the truck down the hill to take it straight into the basement. Everything started to slide - even the piano. Thank goodness their was a lip on the edge of the truck that kept it from falling out! Chad said they were all simply exhausted! They were so grateful for a neighbor that lives two doors down that come over and just started carrying boxes into the condo. (I will post some of their pictures later).

Kenny and Megan want to do some work to the condo before school starts in the fall. We will miss having them here in town. I think we will be looking for reasons to go to Provo! I think Bennett will need us to hold him!

In the mean time, we are organizing our house. I will turn Lana's room into a guest room, decorating it in black and white. We are repainting her room and Kenny's room right now. Kenny and Megan will need a room when they come back home.

We are glad to help each other out and thankful for each family member. They are such good people!

Authors of a new book

Chad and Trent now are authors! They have published this book about building credit line for businesses. They also have a home study course that just came out. It's a nice addition to their Corporate Credit Concept business.

Lana & Tyson's wedding banners

Lana and Tyson were married on June 6, 2008 with the reception on June 7. It was a beautiful wedding in the Las Vegas Temple, late in the afternoon so that Lana could have the morning to get ready. The Mehlhoff's had a wonderful dinner afterwards that evening. We could not have asked for better weather for the reception - a great temperature and no wind. Marilyn Bennett made the yard look so festive. (I will post pictures later.) And I huge thank you to my boys and their wifes for helping put everything together! We simply could not have done it without each one of them. I adore them all! They are delightful people who I just love! (And they ae so good to Chad and I.)
Since we knew it would be hot on the wedding day, Lana and Tyson opted for later afternoon/evening photo session at the temple. I am so fortunate to work with such wonderful people like Candace Simpson and Matt & Krystaly Koch who photographed with me. Doing the pictures early meant we were able to have 'banners' hung at the reception of the temple.
Banners (nearly 40!) were hung all around the yard. They were 2'x3' pictures of Lana and Tyson. Lana and I did several photo shoots beforehand (even in the snow in UT) in her dress. Her aunt RaeLene Kennedy made her dress, without a pattern, from drawings that Lana sketched for her. She did a fabulous job!
Chad and I are at the beach - recuperating! After I finish editing the wedding pictures, I will post some favorites.
